Confiserie Rieder in Interlaken

"강추!! This bakery was a lovely place for us to start the day. We already had a cup of coffee in the morning at the hotel room so we only tried the pastries and the cake. It was so fresh and delicious. We had a chocolate croissant (Hubby’s choice) an almond croissant (my choice), a pineapple vanilla cream pastry and a slice of carrot cake . Everything was amazing!! The carrot cake had no frosting but still absolutely perfect balance of flavor and the texture. I wish everyone can try it! The owner was so welcoming and paid attention to our questions. The flaky pastries and handmade chocolates draw locals and visitors alike. Staff were friendly during my early afternoon visit, and it’s an easy walk from Interlaken West. Worth a stop for a quick break or takeaway treats while exploring."

"We visited for coffee and cake today and it was very good. The staff seem to be new or in training so needed a bit of help with serving but we've all been there so know how difficult it is until you are fully trained. The cakes tasted good and the coffees were too. The place seems to be very popular locally as I remember seeing a film crew doing a scene there yesterday. Highly recommended if you're looking for a quick bite."

"A nice cozy little bakery/cafe with friendly staff who can speak English. Food and coffee was tasty and at reasonable prices. There is more outdoor than indoor seating. Atmosphere is more for laid back, retired, relaxed setting. It's within walking distance from the main shopping street."

"I was happy to find this hidden gem in Interlaken this morning. I had a warm cup of delicious Hibiscus tea with an apple strudel. The pastry was so flaky after being warmed, and it was also served with whipped cream on the side. This was a perfect pairing for a light snack. The ambiance of this tea room is also very nice....the pictures on the wall with light music in the background. It also seemed very popular with the locals. Very happy with the food and service."
